It’s my favourite part of any story: the point at which the protagonist decides that they’re done being the plaything of fate, that they’re going to stand up and take the world by the horns and start making their own decisions about their life… which only causes more chaos and shenanigans.
In this chapter, Amelia decides she’s not going to wait until she gets ambushed by her parents, so she’s recruited her friends to introduce them to her… as Miss Amelia Wright. Certainly nothing will go awry and there will be no startling revelations when presented with your own parents from an angle you’ve never had access to.
